Prozomix is pleased to announce the commencement of a strategic relationship with NEPAF (North East England Proteome Analysis Facility) that will see the development of next generation recombinant proteins for various applications, including the diagnosis and monitoring of human disease. The collaboration with NEPAF (a project of Cels, the Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences) is supported by One North East and the European Regional Development Fund, and will see the development of a range of new standards for quantitative proteomics, based on SILReP™ (Stable Isotope Labelling of Recombinant Proteins) technology. The project, designed to exploit core competencies of each partner, will progress to the prototype product stage by mid 2009.
